Subway - Points

OK, does anyone know how to figure these out.

The sandwiches have points listed and the breads have points listed. I presume, but am not sure, that we have to add the two together, plus any dressing points (I usually just do mustard and some oil (I was once told that oil helps bring out the flavour in the veggies, but heck, now it's just to knock off that pesky GHG).

I keep forgetting to ask at the meetings and the whole think is driving me 'cause I love Subway. I can't believe an itty bit of meat, no cheese and a bunch of veggies is 4 pts, but whatever.

Cheers, Candace

hi there, thanks for leaving a comment - i'll add you to my daily reads as well... :o)

i think for subway, you need to add both: the 'meat' part and the 'bread' part together... if you chose oil, just add 1 point more and you should be good to go... i haven't been there in ages - love their veggie subs!

have a nice weekend... :o(

I wondered that myself. I don[t eat Subway often but did last weekend. I just went with the points listed for the sandwhich. I think it includes the bread but that they list the bread separately in case you just eat the bread. At least that is what I'm hoping.

I think that the sandwiches include everything except veggies, cheese and condiments. Like the previous poster said, they list them separately so you can see what happens when you break it al up. Here's my rule of thumb:
The bread (depending upon the kind) for a 6" is 3-4 points, a few ounces of meat (turkey or ham) is 1-2 points, cheese wedge is 1 point, and the dressings that are fat free are about 1 point for 2 tbsp. I kind of use that in the back of my head when eating Subway. So, yeah, a little itty bitty sandwich CAN have 4 points, which kind of stinks but it's better than going to Quizno's and blowing 10+ on the same sandwich. :)

Yeah! I checked out the sites mentioned and then decided to check the Subway official site. A 6" Chicken Terriayake includes wheat bread and cheese all for 7 pts. Add 1 pt extra for some oil and there you have it. Thanks for your help everyone! I'm going to Subway for lunch.
